A wall of the Dutch era building that is situated within the Galle Fort has collapsed last night.The wall was part of the Old Post Office.
According to officials, thankfully no one was injured.
They said it could have caused loss of lives had it collapsed during the daytime.
The building, constructed in the Dutch era, was anyway in a dilapidated condition. The Post Office had been relocated to a shed by the sea beach.
