I married Irene Theresa Paul (born 19.2.1931) daughter of Chief Inspector of Police Bandmaster Anthony Paul and Agnes Daniel in 1953. We had four children Hans Shelley Bernard Swan (9.4 1954), Irene Gail Marion Swan (28.6.1955) Michael Joseph St.Clair Swan (26.4.1957) and Anthony Peter Swan (22.9.1958) (deceased)
We left Ceylon in 1961, and arrived in Australia in 1971, and have lived in Armidale, NSW, ever since))

You have been my lifelong inspiration and the very embodiment of inner beauty, love, goodness, gentle-nobility, selflessness,, humour and Christ-likeness in everything you have ever said, thought and done! I have never heard a single uncharitable word from you, and your humility is all pervasive!
If only this world were filled with Children of such Light as you!- where ever you go, light , love and joy follows… yet you pioneer through trials and uncertainty, with such unquenchable Faith and childlike Trust in God, that you blaze in your wake an edifying trail of light for those who follow.- The Lessons your life have taught me are of incalculable wealth!
