hi need to find colombo birth for wilbert silva atulugamage birth 1914
Hello, I have just started work in Sri Lanka and working in Colombo and my family history has relatives working as tea Plantation Manager in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts in the 1940’s. The relatives include Willoughby Greaves Beauchamp and Edward Gordon Windus. I have found a good deal of information online, especially about Willoughby and his adventures in the Ceylon Royal Naval Volunteer Force and wondering if any known relatives are still in Sri Lanka?
Regards
Simon
I am looking for information about my dad he was born in Sri lanka about 1912 in kandy.
His name was Nawda Mirikar Ibrahim Salleyman , he ran away from home when he was 14
lied about his age and changed his last name to Salleyman, so that he could go to sea .
I have done some research and i think his father might have been Haji Mohomed ismail
the man who built the clock tower .
People i have messaged have not verified this but most of the information i have seem`s to point
to this
All i want to do is find my dads family in Sri lanka and find info on my grandfather and grandmother i have posted old photo`s my dad had on my facebook page to try and find info
i have also started an ancestry tree on Ancestry.co.uk
Any help would be very appreciated thanks Deen
Hello:
I am trying to obtain information about my father’s family in Sri Lanka. His info is:
Name : LESLIE CHARLES ANTHONY (late)
Date of Birth: May 10, 1921 (may be 1922)
His Mother’s name: GRACE ANTHONY
Brother’s name: EDWARD ANTHONY
He migrated to Pakistan pre-1948 so our family has no records or contact information about his family in Sri Lanka.
Any assistance or leads would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Michael Anthony
