Looking for record of birth/baptism for Annie Isobel Drummond Gordon White abt 1890. Record of parents would be fantastic, as I believe her father was also born in Ceylon.

I am not sure if we are looking for the same lady, but my grandmother was Cara Annie Drummond Gordon White who was born May 21, 1890 in Kandy. Her father was James Gordon White and mother was Annie Elizabeth Lovell. He was a coffee planter in 1875 when they got married and when the coffee blight hit he managed or ran tea plantations, one being Hillside. He wasn’t born in Kandy, but in the West Indies. They had 4 children, the other 3 I have found, but still have no actual birth record of my grandmother.
So, if any of this matches your records please let me know.

My mother was born in Kandy March 15th, 1919. Her father was, at the time working for (maybe manager) of the Kandy branch of The Bank of India (or could it have been called the Bank of England at that time?) Where would her birth have been recorded, as I am hoping to find an address in such records?

Which churches would there have been in Kandy in 1942 during WW2? My father was billeted with the pastor of a church when his ship (from Australia) was in Colombo for 6 months at that time.
