     We have burial record for Leeby wife of James Duncan, birth/baptism record for Thomas illegitimate son of James Duncan mother no mentioned.

   They were burghers.I think he is not Dutch and Portugese maybe a British men.

   I am looking for my paternal great grabdfather Dr. Saravanamuttu who worked at manipay hospital and whose widow resided at Kandy road Chundikuli Jaffna. She owned a fair size property in that area.
   Any help will be greatly appreciated

   Need help tracing my ggggrand father Abraham Joseph who married Anna Catharina Riphagen. Alll I know is that Abraham came to Ceylon from Lotringen, Lorraine, France and married Anna in December 1802. We understand that Abraham was with the regiment of Le Suisse Règiment de Meuron. He was a Hofmeister to Colonel Pierre Frederik de Meuron – Commanding Officer of the Regiment de Mueron commissioned to garrison Dutch Ceylon 1785 – 1796. I did not have any success trying to contact the de Meuron folks.We also believe that Anna came from The Netherlands. I visited the Riphagen family village in Oene in The Netherlands but unfortunately cannot find her. I have found a ton of Riphagens but cannot tie her into one of those families. We know nothing further. Appreciate any information – no matter how small. Thank very much
